ON THE SKIDS IN DAVOS.

We understand that our intrepid leader has suggested we should use a kind of universal sat-nav to avoid problems in the future. This kind of spouting is akin to locking the door after the horse has bolted. The rhetoric was obviously aimed at the other clueless band of national leaders, in a vain effort to impress. The problem with Brown is that he can't get it into his head, that we should have been going down this route since the late 90's. Unfortunately, the rest of the world would have to be half-baked to follow any model created by a socialist. We could only approach an agreement with a view to a freedom not possible within the limitations of socialism, a freedom to take control of our own expenditure.

People have an obsession with voting for a clown whose promises can't be delivered either side of the Atlantic, as supporters of Barack Obama will eventually learn. The latter certainly won't follow in the wake of suggestions dreamt up by Brown. Irrespective of a Bruce Springsteen song, the world is not the 'oyster' of recording artists or film stars, who seem to follow a leftish bias, presumably due to the fact that they think that they are dependent upon on the 'something for nothing brigade'. Strangely enough, I have just read a biography of Hoagy Carmichael, explaining in great detail his resentment of left wing dreams by the likes of Humphrey Bogart, that are impossible to materialise. We are never all going to be the same. A recommendation would be: Just be happy in your skin!

LICKING THE SUBJECT WON'T RID US OF THIS DOWNTURN.
