WHY BOTHER.

With the Government in total disarray, why do the Tories need to resurrect somebody from the past? Particularly one who's pedigree on the contentious issue of the EU is not in unison with many of his colleagues. This will, without doubt, become ammunition for the Government in the run up to the next election. Each and every one in the shadow cabinet should have been able to snipe at such a despicable unelected sleazeball as Lord Meddlesome, as he is a sitting target. Don't you just love the way he poses for the camera, sucking his spectacles, trying in vain to look the intelligent statesman?

The course to follow, and there has never been a better opportunity to damage this forlorn
so-called government, is to give them enough rope with which to hang themselves. Cameron has allowed his party to be sucked in, exactly as Hamas did to Israel. The Conservatives had no need to give my MP a front bench post. He, Kenneth Clarke, could perform far better as a back room adviser. He can't confront his adversary head on in the Commons, so what is the point?

IT'S NOT A GAME!
