DIVISION IS A BIG 'DOWNER'.

We keep reading that Cameron could bring back Kenneth Clarke to challenge the undemocratic Lord Meddlesome. Since they both have their snouts in the same European trough, this would turn out to be a distinctly retrograde step. Only people with short memories could be oblivious to the undercurrent of Euro-scepticism that remains in much of the logical thinker, particularly regarding the book-keeping in Brussels. Kenneth Clarke has voted with the Government on over 30 occasions, presumably upon EU issues, without once consulting his constituents, of whom I am one.
