COMPETITIVE ABUSE.

A relative of the author happens to be acting as 'power of attorney' for an elderly aunt. The aunt, towards the end of last year, due to diminishing health had to be moved into a nursing home. My relation, therefore, in discharging her responsibilities, set about clearing up the outstanding accounts from her aunt's previous home. The gas and electricity suppliers performed with reasonable speed and both returned any credit due, no questions asked. The situation of the telephone account was totally different. The supplier was the Post Office; when my relative tracked this down, found that her aunt was due in excess of £95, the PO however would not return this amount without confirmation that the 'power of attorney' was legitimate; this to a degree not completely unreasonable, but, and this is a big but, had the 'PoA' not been on the ball regarding this matter, after six months that excess becomes irredeemable.

A CHALLENGE TO THE POLITICALLY CORRECT MOB.

In a previous blog, THE 'HARMAN'IZATION OF CAMERON, 15th. February of last year. The subject was regarding the appointment of Dr. Hans-Christian Raabe, a German born MD, who chooses to practice in a part of Manchester, where drug addiction is habitual to many. The appointment was to be installed, unpaid, as a member of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD). Such an appointment was a 'prod in the eye' to the liberal minded, who love the right of the users to fry their own brains; subsequently to become a tremendous strain upon the National Health Service. Their move was trying to find something on this German 'Good Samaritan'; they thought that they had succeeded when Dr. Raabe was found to have quoted some official figures on the subject of Homosexuality and Paedophilia, these figures had actually appeared in Government documents in the late nineties. For this , his appointment was cancelled by the Home Secretary, Theresa May. Let us pause here and consider what happened; at best, a dictatorial move, at worst, a gormless Government acting rather like their socialist predecessors. Any move rather than the logical one.

For the rest of 2011, the good doctor, apart from tending his appreciative patients, has had to contend with much abuse from a group we'll call 'Drug Users United', a dim outfit that any British Government considers to be more important than that of a practising specialist in this field. Well things could change; our good doctor is challenging this abuse in the Human Rights Court, later this year, backed by a christian organization, not to mention his committed patient clientele, who can see the conviction projected by his enthusiasm, for a problem which is just another facet of the demise of morals in the UK. Although the ultimate decision could depend upon how many of the court officials are 'coke snorters'.

This blog stands unequivocally with Dr. Raabe on this matter of considerable importance.

WOULD 'NICE' CLEAR ANY OF THESE DRUGS FOR GENERAL USE?

DEAL OR NO DEAL.

It is evident from previous blogs, that the Banks were a factor in the calamitous state which has befallen the UK economy, along with the majority of others in the western world; the exceptions are mainly the European nations not in the European Union, and particularly the Eurozone. This element, however, is not to tell the complete story. On this week's edition of 'Question Time', the point was made of the two other factors: Firstly, the Government of the day, having put into place the 'Financial Services Authority', which, acting at the Government's behest as a fire wall between banking and the Bank of England, thus allowing credit to explode. Secondly, a rejuvenated public, many of whom thought that money was being given away, and for some it was, never to be redeemed. Chancellor 'Incapability Brown' loved this, the public suddenly thinking that it had arrived at Shangri La, 'dipping their bread in', with much gusto. Many of the banks, naturally, started to teeter on the brink of disaster; 'Incapabilty' reappears, stage left, although dressed as a white knight, with £billions of our money, well, deferred taxes; saving the Banks from himself, we hope!

What ensued was 'Incapability' implying that he had saved us from financial meltdown; remember, this is the man that bestowed it upon us. The 'buck' was then handed to the then Chancellor, Alistair Darling; although not everybody's darling! And this is when the deals were struck, having appointed new heads of the struggling banks. It was not totally irresponsible to offer fairly generous terms for the new Chief Executives, since they were being handed a 'poison chalice'. These terms were offered by the last Labour Government, who are now endeavouring to make some pathetic political mileage, via the dim 'Thoroughly Modern Miliband', by accusing the Coalition of being fancy free with the nation's finances. Only left wingers are impressed by this simplistic nonsense; plenty of whom seem to make it into the audience of the aforementioned 'Question Time'. Another panellist pointed out that one of the many reserve defenders at Manchester City Football Club, takes home circa £4 million annually.

ALL WE HAVE TO DECIDE IS, WHICH IS THE MORE IMPORTANT?

TRANSPARENCY! NOW THAT IS INTERESTING.

Is the Government suddenly waking up with some green shoots of democracy? Conservative MP for Ipswich, Ben Gummer, is recommending to Parliament, that the Electorate is kept informed of where and how our taxes are spent.

Rolling this out into local government should be the next move. Although we live just outside the City of Nottingham, one would be interested in how they justify the extension of the loss-making tram development; part funded by surcharging businesses within the city limits for employee car parking. Yes, this is having to pay for parking one's car at the place of work; some of these workers could go through life never seeing a tram, never mind riding on one. These will naturally put firms off setting up business within the city boundary; but that is what socialism does.

We have suggested such transparency in earlier blogs, particularly the cost of court charges; awards, if any, plus defence costs. All these charges are picked up by taxpayer GB.

WILL THIS DEVELOP?

LORDY, LORDY!

It comes as no surprise that a majority in the cosseted House of Lords think that the hard working taxpayer GB should keep pouring money into the coffers of those with large families, many from abroad, here to benefit from this largesse. These Peers, inventing a kind of synthetic sympathy at our expense, are getting far beyond a joke. The Bishop of Leicester spent the early part of the week spouting in the trendy jargon of the day, which included the expression 'given' (if only he could draw me one, so as to recognize it should I come across one). We might dread to think how often he uses the term during his sermons; should he persist with a limited vocabulary, wouldn't 'taken' be more appropriate?

These illogical manoeuvres by the Bishops with their left-wing posturing, are making the author think twice about his relationship with the Church of England. Don't they understand that they are only encouraging the procreation of thousands more children as a way of making money. What a disgraceful incentive to turn procreation into a business, at enormous cost to the responsible wing of the nation.

We have suggested before in these postings, that in the name of democracy, on these occasions an announcement needs to be made, pointing out that the diligent taxpayer will have to foot the bill, and thank them in advance.

Come on Ian Duncan Smith, nail these dim-wits to the mast.

A BURDEN FOR TAXPAYER GB.

One person's benefit payment is another person's tax payment; the startling fact, is that the amount of financial benefit paid out to immigrants, is manifestly outrageous. A total of over £2 billion is paid annually to people who have decided to settle in the UK, some having been in employment, therefore making tax contributions. The total figure, however, includes thousands of illegals, here purely for the ride.

In the name of democracy, at what stage do we ask the electorate if they are happy with this arrangement? We also need an explanation about where this money comes from; we certainly can't fund it from the National Debt. All these questions must be considered. Admittedly, it was a Government driven report in producing the figures, much to the chagrin of the opposition.

The 'money for nothing' culture can only end in tears, and it won't be pretty. The first move is to seek the opinion of taxpayer GB regarding our relationship with Europe. Remember, that fraudulent outfit run from Brussels.

"MRS. McCLUSKEY AIN'T A GOOD SCOUT" (Loesser)

Those familiar with the successful Frank Loesser musical play 'Guys and Dolls' based on the shady, but humorous world, depicted in Damon Runyon stories of the wide boys and gamblers of big city USA, might recognise the title line from the song 'The oldest established, permanent, floating crap game in New York' selecting the place for the forthcoming game. Well, Mrs. McCluskey's son Len, general secretary of the Unite union, also dwells in this different world from those who have to get on with the enormous job of clearing up the mega-debt, in which the UK, along with the whole of the western world, finds itself.

The unions, as Marxists, need to disrupt any progress that the Coalition Government might be making. From the author's point of view, it is not moving fast enough. The downward slide created by the previous Government continues, essential for left wing mayhem.

Obviously, we know that these trouble makers have to try to retain as many union members as possible, for the sake of their own income. One wonders, nevertheless, why intelligent folk are prepared to forsake the nation, for what could be nothing but short term gain.

MAD DEVO MAX.

Such a name would suit the 'slippery eel' Alex Salmond perfectly. It is, however, the cover for getting Scottish devolution on the cheap.

Although the author cannot see the purpose of the breaking up of the UK, if it has to be, then so be it. Three hundred years of a successful, shared monarchy will be hard to give up. I'm sure that there is much in legal terms to be considered, such divorces must be far more difficult than the Scots' First Minister is prepared to divulge. The most astonishing fact seems to be, that Salmond wants to head for the Eurozone; something that immediately takes the gloss off his over-estimated ability.

What is particularly astounding, is that this is happening during a period when there is total mayhem in the world economy, and particularly so in Europe.

SLIPPERY SALMOND AND SCOTTISH INDEPENDENCE.

Alex Salmond is certainly clever at playing politics, for what is nothing more than the vanity of personal achievement; this not being dissimilar from the farce being perpetrated in Europe regarding the salvaging of the Euro. All this bonhomie, in his endeavour to kick the sassenach into touch, is not unlike a mild dose of National Socialism. Pick an enemy to dislike and instill that feeling of disgust, hoping to get a lot of sheep to follow, metaphorically speaking.

Nationalism in Scotland poked it's head above the parapet at the time North Sea oil began it's comparatively short period of production; there is still plenty more, but very expensive to extract. This may become viable in the future, but right now it will not put the 'jam on the bread'.

The author's view is far different from this use of politics as a game. Politics is something that should benefit the nation as a whole, only spending money as it becomes available, something that any logical household would do. Salmond's view appears to be one of leaving the rest of Britain to pick up the ongoing loans to Royal Bank of Scotland and Halifax Bank of Scotland, presumably until they are back into profit, at which time he'll want them back for their tax revenues.

Salmond is, of course, more like an eel. Should the Scottish electorate run with this fanciful notion, then so be it.

NOT A PENNY OF GB TAX MUST BE LOST.

THE HIGH SPEED TRAIN STANDING AT PLATFORM 3, IS WAITING FOR THE WIND TO BLOW.

What on earth does a nation such as Britain, with such a small land mass, need with something as ludicrous as a train travelling in excess of 200mph?

It would appear that we have moved on totally from retaining our once green and pleasant land. In addition, railways on wheels are becoming a thing of the past; magnetism is the coming thing. We can then consider cost, which we all know will be far more than any government will be prepared to divulge. It would be a good idea only if big business were prepared to invest in such a project. If not, why should taxpayer GB be stuck with the tab? It just makes politicians feel good to be throwing OPM (other people's money) at these schemes.

The reference to power supply is based on the inconsistency of wind power. The blight on our countryside, not to mention the enormous expense of these ridiculous wind turbines, is monstrous. It is high time we sued governments for such folly.

AND WHERE DOES THIS LEAVE THE NATIONAL DEBT?

SAME SONG, DIFFERENT SINGER.

The Labour Party has probably come to realise that the public has become tired of listening to 'All Ed' (Balls) forever chiding the Government for not spending more of the money that the nation does not possess. So what does it do? It introduces a new lead singer, business spokesman Chuka Ummuna; there is a difference, however, he has a more sophisticated delivery than the pseudo estuary of Balls.

One hopes that the electorate understands, regarding the Left's position; which is to retain a vast public sector, paying their dues to the trouble making unions, who in turn pass a large wedge to party funds. In addition, union representatives are paid for disrupting our lives by the hard working taxpayer GB: Simples....

DEMOCRACY IS NEVER AROUND WHEN WE NEED IT MOST.
