TRANSPARENCY! NOW THAT IS INTERESTING.

Is the Government suddenly waking up with some green shoots of democracy? Conservative MP for Ipswich, Ben Gummer, is recommending to Parliament, that the Electorate is kept informed of where and how our taxes are spent.

Rolling this out into local government should be the next move. Although we live just outside the City of Nottingham, one would be interested in how they justify the extension of the loss-making tram development; part funded by surcharging businesses within the city limits for employee car parking. Yes, this is having to pay for parking one's car at the place of work; some of these workers could go through life never seeing a tram, never mind riding on one. These will naturally put firms off setting up business within the city boundary; but that is what socialism does.

We have suggested such transparency in earlier blogs, particularly the cost of court charges; awards, if any, plus defence costs. All these charges are picked up by taxpayer GB.

WILL THIS DEVELOP?
