THE HIGH SPEED TRAIN STANDING AT PLATFORM 3, IS WAITING FOR THE WIND TO BLOW.
What on earth does a nation such as Britain, with such a small land mass, need with something as ludicrous as a train travelling in excess of 200mph?
It would appear that we have moved on totally from retaining our once green and pleasant land. In addition, railways on wheels are becoming a thing of the past; magnetism is the coming thing. We can then consider cost, which we all know will be far more than any government will be prepared to divulge. It would be a good idea only if big business were prepared to invest in such a project. If not, why should taxpayer GB be stuck with the tab? It just makes politicians feel good to be throwing OPM (other people's money) at these schemes.
The reference to power supply is based on the inconsistency of wind power. The blight on our countryside, not to mention the enormous expense of these ridiculous wind turbines, is monstrous. It is high time we sued governments for such folly.
AND WHERE DOES THIS LEAVE THE NATIONAL DEBT?
