THIS TOXIC HYBRID OF BROWN AND OSBORNE.
It would appear that the UK economy is showing signs of coming out of its slumbers; or is it? We are certainly witnessing growth, the question is, how is this being fuelled? Well, Tory backbencher, Douglas Carswell, a conservative, considers the improvement in the economy is being fuelled by more credit, and he's undoubtedly correct. Carswell has had a paper published this week entitled: 'After Osbrown', a name mixing the former Labour disaster, Gordon Brown and the current Chancellor of the Exchequer, Geo. Osborne. Brown spent all the thirteen years of the last Labour regime decimating the economy, by conning the nation to rely upon credit, giving swathes of simple folk the impression that we could have it all. Many assumed that to be fact. Unfortunately, Osborne is choosing to kid people on that, for example, house purchase is made possible based on assisted financial support by taxpayer GB, by making money available to help with the deposit, regarding house purchase.
We have mentioned this activity previously, which can only have one consequence, destroying the market. The more we chase debt with cheap money, the more expensive the market becomes. Low interest rates have always been the problem here. Likewise, banks making unsecured loans to businesses with money that, quite honestly, does not exist.
Douglas Carswell is not the only person who understands that we are heading, at high speed, into a brick wall again, and that we can only survive when backed with proper money. The short termism adopted by Government, is aimed primarily at the fact that there is a General Election coming up next year, so prepare the electorate by giving them some feel good factor.
WE SHALL SEE.
