THREE OLD LADIES LOCKED IN A LAVATORY - THE SEQUEL.
Let us picture the scene: Midsummer in the Antarctic, a ship leased from Russia, full of 'green pioneers' wanting to prove that eventually the world will be, at least par boiled, due to climate change. We know that they wish to say global warming, something which they can no longer get away with.
This motley crew of doom mongers, which includes a plethora of leading lights on the subject were aboard the good ship, MV Akademic Shokalskiy, which entered a bay that a hundred years ago was perfectly navigable and ice free. Quite strange that at the least cold time of the year in the southern hemisphere, the ship becomes immovable, due to pack ice. The passengers have subsequently been evacuated due to this global cooling.
Within the ranks of this dim corps of disciples is Professor Chris Turney of New South Wales University, Australia, who also has interests in companies selling green ideas to the suckers out there, who are prepared to buy. The British Broadcasting Corporation is also well represented, after all, spending other people's money is their speciality; and the left leaning Guardian newspaper was riding 'shotgun'. You could say that the gang is all there.
One wonders what kind of report will eminate from this fruitless expedition, which has so far cost almost £1 million. They'll no doubt spin some tale to convince their believers. If, however, it doesn't sound that convincing, the naive BBC will sidestep the outcome.
MEANWHILE, NORTH AMERICA SUFFERS THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES OF RECENT TIMES.
