EUROPEAN, AND EXPENSIVE.
Having just spent ten days in Denmark, it becomes understandable how the cost of living in the EU accelerates with such momentum. This is a country which, to their credit, insist on retaining their own currency. The country's history gives an insight into how socialism works, or doesn't work. They are, as a nation much more fair minded regarding the distribution of wealth, as distinct from the British system of buying off the 'waster' with the workers' contributions. Nevertheless, their tax regime is onerous. How long can a system survive whereby income has to increase to keep pace with taxes? The cost of alchohol, although not completely prohibitive, is getting there. Strange since one of their flagship companies, Carlsberg, is one of the world's largest brewers.
THEY DO HOWEVER PRODUCE SOME VERY GOOD ALES, YES I MEAN ALES.
