THE DARLING BUDS OF APRIL.
As Parliament yawned it's way through forecasts, promises and tax rises in the Budget, the only thing that will stick will be the tax hikes. The Chancellor missed the greatest opportunity of his so far dismal political career. At some stage in the very near future, Government has got to grasp the nettle of logic. Darling, however, fell for the Brown doctrine ' let others worry about that, as our game is to con the voters for as long as we can'. Such actions only compound the debt for a future generation.
This is a disgraceful legacy following the so called years of boom, which, like Manchester United, has left us in an horrendous financial state. The very suggestion that we are to go on spending at such an alarming rate really is 'beyond the pale' for taxpayer GB.
EPITAPH: AT LEAST THEY CALLED ME DARLING.
