SO WHAT DID THE BB-SEE?
The author has no idea whether or not people beyond UK shores have any idea what has been transpiring behind closed doors at the British Broadcasting Corporation over a number of decades. The big story centres around a 'two bit' DJ (Pop naturally), the late Jimmy Savile. It is now so obvious that his acts of paedophilia were regularly taking place knowingly, on the premises of this sorry propaganda arm of the Labour Party. The ethos for this activity is probably based around an elitist, superior overview, which considers anyone who doesn't agree with the great 'throw away society', which is the core value of socialism; buying votes with other peoples money is living in the clouds.
There are many names in the frame: George Entwistle, sacked as Director General, following his inaction regarding a tribute programme about the discredited Savile a year ago. Naturally he has departed with a fat cheque, not to mention an extremely healthy pension. We then have Helen Boaden, another high ranking executive in the news chain. She will probably survive, to sack a female would no doubt break some rule or other.
In addition to the gruesome Savile saga, Newsnight, a so-called flagship programme, vilified a senior Tory, Lord McAlpine, naming him, incorrectly, as a paedophile. This shambles of an outfit could well get away with some limited retribution. What should happen needs to be far more swingeing than the Leveson enquiry into press standards. Endless aspects of the farcical output of this over-populated catastrophic, third rate broadcaster, needs to be reviewed.
