MORE NEGATIVE ASPECTS OF MODERN COMMUNICATION.

The author recalls three moments in his life at being stunned, metaphorically speaking, 'stopped in his tracks' at news items. The first was the assassination of JFK, secondly the murder of TV personallity Jill Dando, and a few days ago, the apparent suicide of nurse Jacintha Saldanha, who had the misfortune of receiving the 'phone call from an Australian disc jockey ( it's in the job description); Mel Grieg, in cahoots with colleague Michael Christian, impersonating HM the Queen, enquiring into the comfort of Kate, Duchess of Cambridge. I'm sure that most of the world now knows what happened shortly after this event.

We are aware in the United Kingdom of this type of hoax call, a similar occasion was when Jonathan 'Woth' (Ross) in the company of self-proclaimed 'drug snorter' Russell Brand, played a similar hoax on a popular TV personality. Yet these 'lowlives' continue to survive and prosper as celebrities; which can only happen if people subscribe to this dross. It hurts to admit that modern society isn't caring at all, it is playing to the gallery occupied by the dim, and the world is loaded with them, particularly the morally decaying West.

For the Saldanha family, I can only apologize for others, for the inept down-trodden life style which these pointless people seem to adopt, enacting outrageous situations for their own glorification, and those who buy into it. I have a feeling that the drug culture adds fuel to this appalling behaviour.
