IN PRAISE OF THE NHS.

Irrespective of many complaints one hears regarding the British National Health Service, generally the author is served very well. This week, at an appointment with my private hearing aid supplier, it was pointed out to me that a plastic replaceable end piece was lodged fairly deeply in my ear. I knew that one went missing some weeks ago. The hearing wasn't impaired, but it was too deep to be extracted by the hearing adviser, who offered to run me around to Accident and Emergency. I decided that a call into my own Doctor's surgery was preferable, and so it was. As luck would have it, I was seen within minutes, the Doctor advised that it was a job for the ENT Department at our local hospital, The Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, which I visited this pm. for a 2 o'clock appointment. The removal took less than 3 minutes, following a short wait of 10 minutes, in total, less than a quarter of an hour.

The visit coincided with a need for a three monthly blood test for my haemochromatosis condition. Bearing in mind that this is an enormous teaching hospital, there was no queue at the phlebotomy department, and I was off the site by 14.20hrs.

JUST ACKNOWLEDGING AN EFFICIENT RESPONSE.

AND HER MOTHER CAME TOO (Novello).

There seems to be little point in holding elections when the Government, any Government, decides to instruct the medical profession to register and treat all immigrants, who, apart from exceptional cases, have not subscribed to the National Health Service. The author is well aware that we have reciprocal health care arrangements with certain countries, and that is obviously most acceptable. What we are discussing here, is the bait dangled by politicians, which will encourage endless folk to the United Kingdom as 'health tourists'.

Why, in a democracy, isn't the electorate, taxpayer GB, asked if such a move is acceptable? In the first place, the Health Service is 'bursting at the seams'. Secondly, the country is partially under water; not strictly from the weather, but due to over population, and our politicians are encouraging even more immigration. When will this lunacy cease? Maybe by civil unrest. We are getting ever closer. We can only start to apply logic by threatening the Government of the day with charges of trampling all over our human rights. Personally, it's high time that we also consider the future generations who will have to solve these enormous problems that we are creating for them.

THE LONGER WE IGNORE THIS, THE WORSE IT WILL GET.

REFLECTING SOCIETY.

Following the failure of the recent Anglican Church Synod's decision to appoint women Bishops, the outgoing Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, expressed his exasperation at the gathering not being in tune with modern society. Well, thank heaven for that. Modern society, which appears to operate with a mobile phone permanently fixed to one ear, a bottle of water in the other hand, and a 'subway' or similar under the arm. Apparently, when at home, they subside into a world of TV dross and ridiculous video games. Weekends are probably all consumed by a bigoted view of support for their favourite football team. An out of control 'so called' sport, which reflects more the state of modern living than any other aspect. The participants receiving hideous amounts of income for an effort, which, for most folk at work, would warrant the sack.

No Archbishop, please do not try to emulate the current trends of the public, but encourage the church to point out the stupidity of the 'epicurean society'. After all, once women attain the possibility of becoming bishops, they will then covet the position from which you are about to retire.

Peter Hitchens, in this weekend's press, who, like myself, is not wholly opposed to women progressing within the church, writes that these same zealots never seem to be supporting women to be refuse collectors, or men to be dinner ladies.

TRADITIONALISTS, HOWEVER, DESERVE THEIR SAY, IT'S DEMOCRACY.

A NOT SO MIGHTY FINE.

Following the British Broadcasting Corporation's deplorably incorrect slur on Lord McAlpine, depicting him  as a paedophile. It would appear that the two parties have now settled out of court, a figure of £185,000. Conversely, it would appear that ITV (Independent Television), for the same offence, could face a heavier fine, due to the fact that they are a private business.

Should this turn out to be the case, how are such things justified? The BBC had been running the suggestion of political intrigue, by dangling the bait for a number of days, that a former Tory leading light was about to be named as the paedophile in question. It was almost of 'soap opera' proportions. 'Tune in tomorrow'. Surely, as recommended in earlier postings, the fine should be moderate, due to the fact that ultimately it is picked up by the licence payer. Perhaps we can go much further however, by reducing, by a number of percentage points, the actual licence fee. This would automatically polarise the minds of the Corporation, and would reduce the endless number of managers, whose placements are solely to peddle 'left wing bile'. We could make a start by trimming the 'dummos', presumably fresh out of university, who write the news. The endless usage of the words 'focus/issue/stuff etc., the intelligent section of society can well do without. Plus the cancelling of the ridiculous Radio 1, with its 'pop' music; all of which is more than duplicated on umpteen other radio stations.

LET'S NOT IGNORE THIS GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY.

DON'T MENSCH.

Those familiar with the abbreviation for the 'Anglo' "Don't mention it', will realise the implication regarding the recent Corby by-election; a seat from which Conservative Louise Mensch resigned, to be with her American husband in the States. This seat has now gone to Labour, not because they are offering anything sensible, but because of the increasingly popular vote for the United Kingdom Independence Party, and their formidable leader Nigel Farage, who are beginning to make in-roads into the Tory vote.

One has to smile when listening to Prime Minister David Cameron, implying that they are listening to people's aspirations. This is risible, since very few of the Electorate would have agreed with the imposition of short lists and quotas for their Members of Parliament. We now know what happens following such a ploy. This is what Socialists do, but the 'Heir to Blair', Cameron, has placed himself on the left of centre. He is also playing deaf to the overwhelming desire for a vote on our ongoing relationship with the European Union. We have also made clear in recent postings, that the Government thinks that diversity is far more important.

On the other hand, Cameron has no need to apologise for the appallingly low turn-out for the voting for Crime Commissioners. Voter apathy is totally due to a welfare society, which socialism brings. It's someone else's concern. Lack of information is no excuse; if the author knew, then all should, or could be aware.

THE PANKHURST'S WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN IMPRESSED.

STICK TO YOUR BRIEF MR. OSBORNE

Chancellor George Osborne has been spouting off about some 'touchy feely' drivel, regarding same sex marriage, and Barack Obama's connecting with the requirements of selfish folk; for example, those wanting greater freedom over abortion and the like. On both scores, we humans are taking on the almighty power of nature: How, for example, did the population of Britain readjust, following the losses of  so many young men in WWI? Osborne's pursuit of left wing ideals in the shape of same sex marriage will most certainly make this life conservative look elsewhere at the next election. The insistence on short lists and diversity put me off last time.

Obama did not win the election necessarily due to what Osborne suggests, but by pouring OPM (other people's money) into the 'swing states'. A typical socialist ploy.

Let us concentrate on the main concerns confronting us, most of which could be resolved by getting out of the European Union. This would help us economically, by avoiding billions in dues to Brussels. Immigration would be curtailed, and we could have a fresh look at the appalling Human Rights legislation; something imposed upon the UK by Tony Blair, no doubt at the behest of his wife, a Human Rights lawyer.

GET BACK TO YOUR DESK MR. OSBORNE.

THE BEEB HAS BEEN AT IT AGAIN.

For too long, the British Broadcasting Corporation has considered itself to be the superior and righteous holder of the flame of probity; appealing to the masses, they are the ones who receive 'alms' from the hard working taxpayer GB. Being the propaganda arm of the Labour Party, for years, they have vilified anyone who makes money from honest endeavour, as with all good Marxists, they think money should be more evenly spread, through a strangling taxation system. The return of 'Hey Big Spender' Obama, was an absolute thrill for them. Even drama on the Beeb can have a political bias; probably with a left-wing lesbian as the heroine, and automatically, the baddy will be an heterosexual conservative. The Corporation operates by taking money from the public, most of them right of centre Tories, at least, the working ones.

Well, the chickens are coming home rapidly. For example, the BBC has been paying top announcers, 'shed loads' of money, into special accounts, to avoid National Insurance contributions, simultaneously lambasting anyone else that tries to avoid their dues to the state. In addition, they have been covering up, for some decades, the disgraceful paedophile activities of one of its star attractions, recently deceased. Add to this continued immature facade, the fact that, on the showcase programme 'Newsnight', for a number of days, they were suggesting that a senior Tory from 'the Thatcher era', had been implicated in another story of paedophilia. Well, last Friday, having revealed the name, they have now had to withdraw, and naturally will be sued for its indiscretions.

The BBC, having assumed the vision of superiority over the rest of us, suffers from an advanced form of incest. They generally promote from within; anyone new to this top-heavy management, would be tripping over the bodies that the indoctrinated hadn't yet buried.

THE ANSWER IS EASY, IMPARTIALITY.

MORE TOXICITY.

The much maligned British Broadcasting Corporation was living up to its left wing bias in the recent edition of 'Question Time', which promises a weekly dose of 'other peoples money' for those 'on the take'. This naturally receives much applause from most of the audience, hand picked to represent that aspect of the great welfare society. Let's face it, we are not going to hear too much from the responsible section, as many will be busy earning a crust.

The panel was up to the gunwales with 'pinko slime'. Not least a character, David Blanchflower, masquerading as a Labour Economist; if this were possible, it would automatically be a thoroughly toxic mix. He was criticising the current financial situation as though Britain is the only economy suffering from the universal downturn. His role at the Bank of England, helping to shape the appalling way that the Bank has held down the ridiculously low interest rates, and expressed positive excitement at quantitative easing, with a suggestion of more to come. Socialism abounds with this Keynesian dream of borrowing big to get rid of the debt. The other lame, dumb, politically retarded 'smoothy' was Chuka Umunna of the Labour front bench. He is automatically someone else giving away hard earned money. A kind of 'alms dealer'.

We need to mention one of the questions concerning Tory MP Nadine Dorries, who has gone absent without leave, from Westminster, to appear in a down market celebrity TV programme: I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here. Quite extraordinary, if she wants to be returned by her constituents at the next election. The only reasonable point that can be made here is whether her appearances in the House of Commons will be better than the two, mostly absent Socialists, Gordon Brown and the elder of the Marxist Brothers, David Miliband.

POLITICS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD IS APPALLING.

WHAT IS A LIVING WAGE?

It appears to be 'silly season' again, one wonders if it ever goes away. If there is a left and right in British politics anymore, it would be difficult to know where to draw the line. Responding to something called the 'living wage campaign', Boris Johnson, the Conservative Mayor of London, and the leader of the Labour Party, 'Thoroughly Modern' Miliband, both agree that workers should be paid more. I'm sure that the latter, supposedly studied both economics and politics. Many astute observers will recognise, in a modern 'throw away' society, the two don't mix, it is far too toxic; rather like irresponsibility and logic. But let us not be put off by commonsense when a good headline is available.

Let us assume that the much discredited Quantitative Easing has run its course, therefore, another ploy needs to be suggested, dressed up as a fop to salivate the people 'on the take'. Any increase in income will increase the cost of living, how else can it be absorbed? Therefore, apart from the recipients of this largesse, perhaps we should consider those that won't be so fortunate, which would include most of us, particularly pensioners.

No doubt, that such stupidity would need vast additional departments to oversee such a move, much loved by Labour in particular, who would be excited about employing more folk, all at the expense of taxpayer GB; they would then go on strike, calling for higher pensions and insisting on a retirement age of 60.

FEW POLITICIANS HAVE ANY BUSINESS ACUMEN.

DECISION TIME - USA.

It must be impossible for many Americans to ignore the devastation of the recent storm, recovery from which will take many billions of dollars; promises however, will not be enough. Reality can only be achieved with the backing of real money. Obama's socialist approach to economics will never add up, just look at the history surrounding the failure of such actions. Start by considering the situation in Europe. A few nations have had brief moments when the logic of conservatism has intervened, but the undercurrent of the vast swathes of people who receive the alms of the striving class to acquire a good standard of living, without the inconvenience of working, is the road to ruin for any society.

As a Brit, I found the success of Obama more of a theatrical event. The victor has to succeed through talent, colour is irrelevant. If Obama is considered black, he also needs to be considered white, on his mother's side. I make my position clear on the disgraceful racialist requirement which seems to be important to much of the media; to keep the 'pot boiling' so to speak. Every Wednesday at 10pm UK time, I play proper songs, jazz and blues: www.103theeye.co.uk. Jazz and blues are undeniably 'black', and many of the other songs played are written by homosexuals. Both examples show, undoubtedly, that their origins have an artistic driving force. Nevertheless, we must avoid making them compulsory. The disgraceful waste spent on Obama's inauguration was outrageous, particularly as his ticket criticised the financial state of the Union, which is now far worse.

Romney, on the other hand, talks like a proper conservative; consider the word, and think of your children and grandchildren. Remember that you are paying China, in interest alone, sufficient to fund their armed forces. For more information, read Mark Steyn's; 'After America, Get Ready For Armageddon', after which, an in depth view of Daniel Hannan on YouTube will make things look somewhat clearer.

THAT SHOULD CONVINCE YOU.
