'QUESTION TIME' SHOULD BE 'LISTEN WITH MOTHER'.
Any reader of this blog will be aware, that we consider that British politics fell into a 'playgroup' mentality during the last Labour regime, and have written extensively to that end. The current lot is not much better however. Nevertheless, even worse, is the idiotic weekly BBC programme, described as a political forum, involving politicians with the occasional dumb celebrity. In last night's edition, we were obliged to listen to the comments of one of these so-called celebs, Steve Coogan; his presence was due to his case regarding phone hacking. It beats the writer to consider who would be interested in this limited thinker. His party piece was to ridicule the daily paper, the Mail, and for good measure, the Mail on Sunday. These papers have a wide readership across what we could call 'Middle England'. Their writers include Melanie Phillips, Simon Heffer, and Peter Hitchens, all of whom appear on the panel of' 'QT' occasionally, plus the excellent political sketch writer Quentin Letts and two good political commentators borrowed from the Daily Express now and again, Leo McKinstry and Stephen Pollard.
The irony here is, that the BBC, a public funded service broadcaster, encourages this trite nonsense, only suitable for a retarded audience. At least, the ones that clap when it is suggested that we throw more tax payers' money at a problem. This may not be their's of course, should they be on benefits.
Coogan's stance was purely 'Guardian'; give me the 'Beano' everytime
THEY NEVER ALLOW QUESTIONS ON OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH EUROPE.
