THE POPPY QUANDARY.

Along with millions of other Brits, annually, I make my Poppy purchase, and always think of the sacrifices made for my freedom. The strange thing is, that I rarely get around to wearing it, forgetfulness I suppose. The recent 'barney' that has been going on in the world of football seems somehow to be false; I'll leave that for the individual to consider, but am naturally pleased that the concern has been resolved.

Let us compare the Poppy situation then with the desecration of war memorials, since it is part of the same subject. One wonders what type of person steals metal plaques from such places of remembrance. We are, unfortunately, aware of the fact that we live in a society lacking obedience, where laziness abounds.
