LITTLE BOYS AND GIRLS TRYING TO DO GROWN UP JOBS.

Monday 24th. October 2011, witnessed the final nail in British democracy. Forget the endeavours of the two major wars of the last century, in both loss of life and cost; we have allowed political leaders of different persuasions, to completely ignore the will of the people. This is not to say that the electorate would have voted to leave the European Union, although the author is confident that the result would have been for withdrawal.

Retrospection is an easy way of resolving problems. We should have heeded the warnings at the time of entry, pointing out that the process would lead to the mayhem which is the EU today. It would have been easy to insist on a referendum every time that there were changes of policy in the Brussels' machine. Great Britain should have warned Europe in the mid 'nineties', that we could not proceed with the consistent fraud without asking the permission of the British electorate. Such things are logical safeguards.

David Cameron, however, as with all the other leaders of the last two decades, takes the European view, rather than the British. Personal gain looms large into one's psyche, with visions of a large 'gravy train'.

NEVERTHELESS, WE CAN ONLY BLAME OURSELVES.
