SPARED THE WEAKEST LINK.

To have gone down the road of elections based upon the 'alternative vote', would have been the first step to political oblivion, regarding our position within the European Union. Should we have succumbed to a coalition of left wing bias, 'proportional representation' would have followed quickly on it's heels. We are acting with considerable homage to that bunch of crooks in Brussels as it is; but at least we have held onto the last vestiges of the defence of our sovereignty, which must now be pursued with considerably alacrity. We won't be allowed out of gaol indefinitely. Trusting to the future to look after itself is a fool's game. The days of lazy attitudes towards some kind of baseless opulence disappeared with the last Labour Administration.

The ball is momentarily in the court of the electorate; to be played decisively.
