Unconvincing Vince Cable, the coalition's Business Minister, is appealing to the leftists in the Lib Dem ranks, currying favour with those who consider that any reduction in immigration will reduce their chances at the polls. This being without forethought of population expansion.

What is particularly interesting here, is, if we do need more brain power of the imported variety, what happens to our own potentially gifted students, with their increased numbers of A/A* qualifications at A level, pre-university standards. This is, of course, only a mirage, as it is almost impossible to hold an engaging, intelligent conversation with most of this ilk, simply because generally they lack any kind of vocabulary, that is beyond that of the lowest level of TV programmes. So what does happen to this mass of limited undergraduates? A future in the media appears to be favourite. Our local BBC is testament to this dumbing down, it has an army of the aforementioned, all financed from a licence fee on demand.
