Into which coloured bin do we deposit cats? No matter how distasteful it is to see cats being dumped into a wheelie bin, I'm sure that many local authorities would love to employ an army of specialist refuse managers to consider how to cope with the problem, should the habit become endemic. A colour for the necessary bin doesn't come readily to mind; somehow a name would seem to be more appropriate, either a Tom or a Sylvester. We could probably expect a TV channel to create a phone-in competition for a final decision. There must be endless ways for such a retarded nation to amuse itself. I assume that we await umpteen directives from Brussels on the subject.
