THE FOLLY OF PREDICTIONS.

The disastrous events which overtake the Globe at regular intervals never appear to put politicians off predicting how the economy and inflation will be performing in the forthcoming few years. Should that view be a rosy one, then the nation and the population switch into 'big time' borrowing mode; always disregarding the news that is all around us. Currently, we are witnessing the tragedy that is the massive flooding in Pakistan, and the more conducive problem of the drought in Russia, which could be a catastrophe for world wheat supplies.

In the case of the floods, we can of course donate to a relief fund; the shortage of food, however, is a problem which can effect a large percentage of the world. With some foresight and good planning, we can help our own cause. It is time to reclaim acres of former 'greenbelt', committing ourselves to greater independence. Something that we must consider, to ensure the future of the nation, self sufficiency wherever possible.

There will naturally be many 'Greens' out there, beating their chests and chanting their usual mantras, about climate change etc., If it is about man made abuse, we then need to reduce the population. On the other hand, if it's not man made, bearing in mind that we are talking about floods, that we are informed are the worst in eighty years, then what was the cause?

TIME CONTINUES TO RUN OUT.
