NOT A WORD FROM THE ANIMAL RIGHTS'S LOBBY.
As ever, the Animal Rights' Brigade is ignoring practices that are anti- establishment. On this occasion, Halal meat. It beggars belief that we are accepting this intrusion into our morality, seemingly without a whimper. The inaction tends to suggest, that any of their demonstrations are only against the majority, not the principle.
Why is it that we can't operate in other countries, following our own set of rules, when it is apparent immigrants can come to Britain and please themselves what they do, certainly on the subject of fresh meat? The writer has never been fond of the thought of bull fighting, that is, however, something the Spaniards have to resolve themselves. On the other hand, Halal meat in the UK is something to which, I take as an affront.
A few years ago, we spent considerable time in Parliament on what turns out to be a complete waste of our money and time i.e passing an act of Parliament in respect of that pest to poultry farmers, the fox.
