YOU CAN COME OUT NOW MEN.
It was inevitable that the BBC would be selective in celebrating an international week for women. It does however fall foul of Harwoman's equalities bill; we can, therefore, expect weeks of rejoicing in numerous other diverse aspects that contribute to a western world in sad decline. The transgender festival could be the highlight of the series, culminating with an event in the perfect venue, the Channel Tunnel. This wouldn't need extra policing, as they already have their own. The one thing the Beeb won't be encouraging, is a week for men.
This week's Question Time was automatically selected to be a flagship programme, the audience consisted of all women; in the main, they were good; probably because northerners, in general, have more nous and common sense than their more southerly counterparts. The three women on the panel sounded as though they were memorising instructions from head office. We circled the perennial, all women short lists. The subject of Jamie Bulger arose early on, getting it's normal metaphorical licking, apart from Kelvin MacKenzie. The problem for the author is that the two such items are never spoken about together. My mother would have had a field day.
