THE TWO FACES OF ANGELA MERKEL.

Be it left or right, all politicians live in the murky world of denial. Merkel climbed the ladder to political success from a background of an upbringing in East Germany, to become the darling of the Christian Democrats, the conservative wing of the German political system. Well! she isn't telling the truth. Democracy and Marxism don't mix.

With what could be the early signs of the demise of the Euro, let us follow the actions of Brussels, with Merkel and Sarkozy at the helm. The Greek economy cannot be propped up by other countries, it has to be set free to survive; to make it's own decision, to determine it's own destiny. this will ultimately apply to Spain, Portugal and Ireland. They can't 'buck it'.

The strange thing about our, Brown's decision to remain outside the Euro zone has, I must admit, always baffled me. Brown, being so Europhile, couldn't have made such a pragmatic decision for the right reasons, although the author is pleased that he did, which would be apparent from earlier blogs. What we need to watch however, is whether our Government gets involved in financing any bail out.

My brother-in-law, who lives in Berlin, informs me that the natives are restless. Therefore we can expect, what the Union is supposed to avoid, dissension between the nations of Europe.

IT'S HIGH TIME FOR A VOTE.
