PUBLIC SECTOR PENSIONS AND COUNCIL TAX.

We have mentioned the nonsense that goes on in local authorities in previous blogs. The ever increasing number of personnel employed filling irrelevant posts: JOBSWORTHS BY THE SCORE, Sep. 08, amongst others. Well! for the first time I have noted in the press, that Hitchens P., reminisces about the past when we didn't have to support all this dross, pretending to be doing a proper job. Most of us older folk are fully aware that we were far more secure and unhindered in days of yore. Naturally we had Teachers/Police/Refuse collectors/Town Clerks plus a few others. Now, however, we seem to think that job creation, for that is what it is, is good for us. Well! it happens to be bad for us. The obvious consequence of this situation is the overbearing, sanctimonious attitude which seems to be bestowed on these unnecessary characters. In addition to their ridiculous job descriptions, there is the question of their gold plated pensions.

AND WE PAY.
