AN EVERYDAY STORY OF USELESS POLITICIANS.
We have written before about the Nottingham City Council on a number of occasions. This is a dim outfit that, for example, has lost a lot of it's residents' money by investing in Icelandic Banks and turning the centre of Nottingham, during the Summer holidays, into a mammoth sand pit, therefore denying holiday resorts such as Skegness and Mablethorpe much business. These actions also soaked up funds which would have been better used on some of the City owned buildings that are in need of repair.
In addition to their limitless stupidity, they are forever on the local news (BBC naturally) promoting a projected football stadium, in case the nation is successful in securing the world cup in 2018. At least that is the front that they are using to encourage the gullible folk that might be listening. The true story is naturally totally deceitful, they want to build 4,000 homes (12,000 wheelie-bins) in the same scheme. The incredible fact is that this proposal is well outside the city boundary, in the Borough of Rushcliffe. Inevitably they are trying every underhand trick in their sleaze book to embarrass the new Tory controlled County Council, who won't hear of it.
The real reason is to deflect from the disgraceful decision to charge an annual parking fee for city workers. This levy, as explained previously, is to subsidise the loss-making tram system. It would be difficult to create a more anti-Nottingham environment for business. Only a bunch of backward socialists could dream of such a scheme.
Another extraordinary aspect of the proposed stadium is that no cost has been mentioned.
HOW VERY NEW LABOUR.
