NORTHERN IRELAND IS DUMBING DOWN.

To align itself with mainland Britain, Ulster erases the 'eleven plus' from their schools curriculum. It would be difficult to consider this move to be beneficial, as is obvious from the results of education in general, our universities generally complaining of the lack of acceptable English Language and Mathematics. What is even more unbelievable, the politicians have yet to decide upon an alternative. Presumably all pupils will be considered to have equal academic ability.
