Now there's a surprise! The CEO of Murdoch's newspaper enterprises in the UK resigns. Rebekah Brooks has finally capitulated, much to the delight of the muppet, Thoroughly Modern Miliband. He, until recently, would have been delighted with her patronage, for what she represented; a favourable headline in one of the newspapers under her control. Such is the way of the seedy world of British politics; a headline, some spin.

Apparently, we are entering a period of kicking the very people that both major parties sought for support. In fact, since the advent of Blair, we have been ruled in the wake of a type of 'Murdochism'. Although not condoning any of the phone hacking, and finding the revelations of the Dowler and Soham incidents thoroughly abhorrent, when it comes to so-called celebrities, the writer couldn't care less.

However, what we now have to be wary about, is the power that Parliament might adopt, under the guise of a form of press control watchdog with teeth, as a way of getting it's own back, following the expenses scandal.

Something, however, particularly concerns me. Why is Julian Assange held in such high regard by the left wing press, for hacking into US top secret information?
