LIB-DEMS ATTEMPT AT POPULARITY.

It is reported that the president of the Liberal Democrats, Tim Farron, is suggesting that we have a vote regarding our membership of the European Union. Is this the most bizarre stroke of opportunism ever? The Lib-Dems will probably seek support anywhere, following their recent reverses. This suggestion is, however, the one that will flummox David Cameron the most, in that this move had to be his ace; simply because he will have to play it to stand a chance of retaining power come the next General Election.

This could be the one move that sets the agenda for the immediate future of politics in the United Kingdom. If the Prime Minister does not respond to this sea-change in the coalition ranks, expect Labour to start considering debating the European question also.

YOU HAVE HAD A WARNING SHOT OVER YOUR BOWS CAMERON.
