THE ALL NEW ELASTICATED MILIBAND, UNCUT.

'Thoroughly Modern', in obeying his masters' voices, (a rabble of Union bosses), helped to create mayhem for the business folk of the West End of London, with considerable wanton destruction. Unfortunately, a dimwit masquerading as an over grown student will impress only the public who are on 'the take'. This number is probably considerable, due to years of under education. Vast swathes of the electorate have no understanding of paying their way in life; they consider this to be somebody else's responsibility.

The TUC sponsored rally of last weekend will remain a blight on this country for years to come. Marxist Brother Jnr. cannot possibly expect to impress the few with more than two brain cells, by running with this motley crew.

Having referred to film maker Martin Durkin's documentary on the National Debt previously, where he interviewed one of the Union's clowns, Brendan Barber. Barber was insistent that we keep borrowing money, pretending to employ people in the public sector, in order to spend this borrowed cash in the shops. What type of economist advocates this nonsense? Keynes perhaps? But he has long been discredited.

It has also been noted that the police operation was in the hands of a limited female officer; there are even suggestions that she could make it to the top.

JAPANESE DECORUM.

For the last two weeks, the world has learned so much about the Japanese people. The devastation that was the tsunami would have left a lesser nation in a state of complete incapacitation. I fear that would include the current United Kingdom.

The writer is old enough to be aware of the atrocities perpetrated by Japanese soldiers during WWII; so what is the difference? Their stoicism, I'm sure, is a constant, but perhaps the experience of nuclear attack in 1945 might have added that extra ingredient, turning them into the nation we are witnessing now; consideration for their neighbours, self control in such adversity following the devastation of the event. Even their equivalent of the BBC, NHK TV, advocates a stiff upper lip and best foot forward.

So how would the British have responded under similar circumstances? We could have expected the BBC to be consulting with the TUC, and finding plenty of survivors who were ready to complain that they were not getting something for nothing from the Government. Looting would have been rife amongst the pandemonium, not to mention counselling.

CHANGING FACES.

Having decided that there will be civil unrest this year, due to much of the public's lack of understanding the need to make serious savings for the country in order to avoid increased interest rates on the national debt, £4.8 trillion (£120 million per day is an awful lot to be paying out in loan repayments); we have decided to take breaks in this country for the coming year.

Our first venture was to visit a friend in Whitby, N. Yorks. From Nottingham we headed towards Newark along the A46(Fosse Way), obviously travelling a road that the Romans built and tramped along. Within twenty miles we reached East Stoke; due to dualling, East Stoke will have a by-pass. East Stoke is the site of one of the major battles of the War of the Roses, but more interestingly, it is the burial place of Great Britain's first ambassador to the embryonic United of America, Sir Julian Pauncefote. The village once sported a good pub/eating house called the 'Pauncefote Arms', which now happens to be an Indian restaurant.

Unfortunately, the situation gets worse. We travelled back on a different route, which took us through North Notts., Pilgrim Fathers' territory, north of Retford. Until the mid-nineties, I would call into an excellent hostelry in Scrooby, named the 'Pilgrim Fathers'; the place was always busy, with pristine decor. How the country changes! On driving by, it is obvious from the exterior that the building is suffering advanced dereliction, adorned by a well worn 'To Let' sign.

The moral here is about priorities; when a nation wastes it's energy on diversity, equality and short lists to prop them up, at the same time ignoring it's history; we will soon be pulling down the blinds on one the world's major contributors in the advancement of many other nations.

WE ALLOW THIS AT OUR PERIL.

FRY ME TO THE MOON.

That little cherub of the BBC, Stephen Fry, thinks that he is shocking us with his disclosures regarding 'coke-snorting'; when most of us are aware that a prerequisite to a successful career with the 'nation's money no object' broadcaster, is to be controversial about such things. It is only habits that are lawful which the Beeb appears to oppose.

When a large corporation continuously features one person in particular, in this case Stephen Fry, the writer is automatically suspicious of the goings on behind the scenes. Fry has a type of pseudo intellect, reflecting his education; he tends to look down his nose at people with a lesser vocabulary, which is strange for a socialist. Being on the payroll of the BBC gives him ample opportunity to exercise this superior air. In using these broadcasting opportunities, he can draw attention to himself as a non-believer; this attitude shows his shallowness. An attitude which, the author is sure, is very much a part of the demise of the western nations. Fry obviously has not considered how the Russians could not wait to embrace their religion at the fall of the communist regime.

Briefly, on the subject of things biblical; there have been at least two excellent television programmes on the subject of the King James Bible in the last week. The latter was presented by Melvyn Bragg, who concentrated very much on it's position and influence on the law of the land; something that is now being altered due to the spurious 'human rights act', which, I'm confident, Stephen Fry would support.

FRY ALSO CLAIMS THAT 'COKE-SNORTING' IS GOOD FOR SOLVING CROSSWORDS.

THE WEST IN A TAIL-SPIN.

These postings refer regularly to the demise of the old western world. For much of my lifetime, the christian based European and American axis, in general, could be relied upon to do the decent thing, but is now beginning to lose it's way. Surprisingly, I suspect that the reasons are more self inflicted rather than outside influences.

The first of a new TV series presented by Niall Ferguson,' Civilization: is the West History?' starts a few centuries ago at the time of the Ming Dynasty. Initially, the Chinese were outward- looking and travelled/sailed to distant shores. The dynasty, however, ultimately made this type of exploration a crime, and so China returned to being an inward-looking society. About that time the European nations started to chance their respective arms, venturing further afield; The Portugese, Spanish, French, Dutch, not to mention the British. This meant much competition and, therefore, considerable success. We can look down our respective noses at what became colonisation, but, if each nation's discoveries were not claimed, then others would be along to claim these far off lands.

The moral here being, that competition guarantees success; whereas centralization destroys progress. The new single seat of power in Europe now being Brussels, a law making, tax collecting monolith, curtails such progress.

The respected City of London observer, Alex Brummer, recommends the following action:
Abolish the Equality Act, tear up National Wage bargaining, cut Corporation Tax, divorce Britain from European Employment Law, abolish the 50p Tax Band for earners above £150,000, end the Climate Change Tax lie, kill the National Insurance rise, Education Reforms, a real bonfire of the quangos and radically reform the Banks. Well it's a start. All these activities have large departments, employing thousands at the working sector's expense. In addition, it is another red mist over democracy.

WE'LL SEE IF FERGUSON GETS CLOSER TO THESE POINTS OVER THE SERIES.

A UKIP SURGE.

The not too surprising result of the Barnsley Central by-election is the fact that UKIP managed second spot. If the country changed it's voting system, UKIP would finish with seats in the house. This could become a tempting factor. For Labour to retain this safe seat was never beyond doubt, although you wouldn't think that, if we believed 'thoroughly modern Miliband's' suggestion that library closures are the reason; many of the latter are going, due to savings that are occurring in emotive areas, rather than in the 'fairyland' beyond the town hall doors; generally in Labour held strongholds. In addition, one might expect that there are more takers than contributors in Barnsley. It was noticeable that, of the locals interviewed after the result, most wanted to return to the bad, old, overspending days.

It does, however, pose a major problem for Cameron if he continues to show his intransigence towards the electorate's disenchantment with Europe; UKIP will split the Tory vote down the middle. Let's face it, UKIP is now the Conservative Party.
