Having referred to film maker Martin Durkin's documentary on the National Debt previously, where he interviewed one of the Union's clowns, Brendan Barber. Barber was insistent that we keep borrowing money, pretending to employ people in the public sector, in order to spend this borrowed cash in the shops. What type of economist advocates this nonsense? Keynes perhaps? But he has long been discredited.
