LET IT RAIN, LET IT RAIN etc.
Mother Nature is currently helping out with our predicament from the lack of water here in Britain. Plenty of my fellow inhabitants, after a few days of rain, bemoan the fact that the hosepipe ban has not been lifted immediately. These are the people who are so easily swayed when it comes to exercising their franchise. They obviously long for a politician to tell them that the 'all clear' has sounded. The days of using ones common sense is long gone; being fed good news is far more preferable. If and when politicians give out such news, it is more likely to be propaganda. Hitler and Goebbels would have loved to have been in their prime during this era, with all the moronic devices with which to influence the gullible.
The question of water supply, however, is a subject that any government must face in the immediate future. We cannot go on increasing our population, pretending that the problem will disappear. The author has mentioned this many times; it's time that we made the right noises to our MPs. In my case I started almost twenty years ago. It is extraordinary that a good national supply of drinking water doesn't register with political parties, who love to promise ridiculous schemes such as High Speed Trains.
THE CLOCK IS TICKING.
