THE LAST QUANGO IN BRUSSELS.

Any clear thinker who prefers democracy rather than an unelected Marxist dictatorship, must now decide that what happened in Sweden this last week i.e the election of an EU President along with Baroness Ashton, the Quango Queen, installed as High Representative for foreign and security policy, needs to be debated. Ashton, a politician who has never, according to reports, been elected to any political position. She also has form in misleading the dim Upper House, steering the Lisbon treaty past them, plus, having been prominent in the CND movement. Presumably you are all feeling more secure by the minute. Both these Eurocrats will be guiding policies which will be paid for by taxpayer GB.

A cynical view of the undemocratic regress of the Commission would suggest, that neither Germany nor France will treat either posts as more than puppet figureheads. We in Britain, conversely, will hang onto every suggested edict, implementing them with vulgar urgency, in the name of job creation. More taxes.

It would be easy to say that our time is running out. That isn't the case. What does happen, is that the forces needed to return to democracy have to be more and more aggressive as time passes.
