We are led to believe that Barack Obama is taking Gordon Brown's lead in resolving our financial woes. Forget it! We are in this for the long haul. When eventually we show an upturn in our fortunes, Brown will of course claim that throwing mountains of cash did the trick, when, unfortunately, all that it did was to create greater debt. The writer has noted on a couple of occasions reference to Maggie Thatcher's view on socialism eventually runs out of OPM (other peoples money). The second of the comments suggested that the problem eminates from capitalism, perhaps we need to consider peoples misuse of capitalism, particularly credit.

Meanwhile as our intrepid travelling leader manages to career around the globe, his colleagues plot against him. Much of this is due to keeping the public diverted away from the proper concerns. The economy, expenses, law and order, we could go on indefinitely.
