"VIVA DEMOCRACY" 1.

Twice in one day has democracy risen like a phoenix from the ashes of dictatorial excesses. God bless the Republic of Ireland for seeing through the appalling attitudes of the Brussells' clique. They, the Irish, were at least given the opportunity to vote down the EU constitution, heavily disguised as the Lisbon treaty. Of all the members of the union the 'Republic' was the only nation allowed to consider its own national identity, in the face of much scaremongering from senior 'community' politicians, Bernard Kouchner the French foreign minister for one. In a democratically run grouping he would naturally be dismissed. We are, however, only too aware that the EU is a political club run on socialist lines for the benefit of the administration. Amazingly, as the early news of the result was manifesting itself, our 'intrepid' PM, 'Sitting Bull', was cozying up to his french counterpart assuring him of our backing for this arrogant imposition, the EU constitution.

The next move, needless to say, is the thing to watch. We can expect the EU hierarchy to give the Irish the opportunity to see the error of their ways, which no doubt will include bribes and threats in best 'Mugabe mode'. Should this transpire to be the case, any European politician who would criticise Mugabe should have to take the long walk.

Let us remind ourselves briefly what the aims of the 'Union' are:- they are to control our lives at every turn, employing as many of us as useless jobsworths paid for by the state, which I can assure you has already run out of cash. It is high time that 50 million + English folk stopped falling for this self indulgent Scot and insist on a greater say in our own destiny. Isn't it a disgrace that we have to rely upon the Irish to assist us in this endeavour.
