INCIDENT IN DEWSBURY.

Karen and Shannon Matthews.

Is all this is happening in my country, into which I was born a few years before the second world war, when the population made tremendous sacrifices, some of them making the ultimate one?
FOR WHAT?

I may be alone in my assumption that, what is currently going on in this old West Yorkshire town is the result of decades of creating a benefits system, which encourages people to start their own little enterprise by having a number of children, all paid for by the hard working, diminishing sector of our society. It is being reported daily, that the extended family is being drawn into something which is totally unsavoury. It would appear that the down loading of pornographic material is the norm and the more I see of this disgraceful spectacle on news broadcasts, the more embarrassed I am to be English. Are we considering how many of the supporting cast in this debacle actually have a job? Am I doing some of them an injustice in feeling sure that the tax on my pension, petrol and the odd pint of beer is giving them succour to own computers and plasma televisions. Incidently , we can multiply this current situation endless times.

A logical society wouldn't dream of funding anybody to produce wall to wall children without their own financial support. Only a socialist government, including the blue rinse hybrid, could allow this situation to occur. Parents have children if they can afford them, the responsibility is theirs and not other people's. Personally, I feel the time has come to cease such support for children, as we need to look at reducing the population. We could probably commence by limiting the number to two for a brief period. It is my understanding that pregnant girls in the Netherlands, under the age of eighteen, are the responsibility of their parents, so it does happen in the EU. Lets start adopting a little commonsense. ( I WANT MY MONEY BACK). Any of you that are happy to subscribe to the downfall of our once stable, decent country, please be good enough to pay on my behalf.

ROBBING PETER TO PAY PAUL.

Logical (definition) adj.: Formal argument; not contravening the principles of logic, correctly reasoned; following as reasonable inference or natural consequence; capable of correct reasoning. (Oxford Illustrated Dictionary).

This word you will find, will be repeated regularly in my text and, to a lesser degree, I'll make reference to "natural".

We have, for far too long, been taking so much of the nonsense coming out of Brussels that we have lost track of logic. Our current government sees it as a way of increasing the work force with the kind of jobs advertised weekly in the Guardian. Jobsworths that are well on the way to bankrupting the nation and cannot possibly be sustained. We'll all be familiar with the childlike array of posts to be filled, from Health and Safety/Counselling/Outreach/Compliance officers, you name it there are dozens if not hundreds of such titles which would embarrass Camberwick Green.

It's amazing how the flora and fauna returns annually without all these support systems, the biggest danger to the latter comes from the human race.

In the last year during a discussion with a councillor friend, he mentioned that he was part of a committee that had to assess the salary of a new chief executive to be appointed for our borough. The process adopted was to compare the post to a similar position in private industry, based on the number of personnel under his/her control. I interrupted him at this juncture to point out that there isn't a parallel here, because, in the private sector a new chief executive's function would be to streamline the system, to cut costs, possibly introducing more computerisation which could incur job losses. Not so in the public domain, as it would appear that the more individuals employed by the authority the greater the chief exec's income (NOT A BAD DEAL).

It has been revealed that a fifty five year old former chief executive of a county council in the south midlands took early retirement from his £200,000 + position, with a pay off of just under £300,000 plus an annual pension a little under £100,000. Now it could be possible that all parties enjoy this new elitism giving extra muscle to the public sector. Personally, I consider it to be appalling arrogance. All this has to be paid for by the public who, in many cases, can't afford to subscribe to a pension of their own. (THE SHANGRI-LA IN A TWO TIER SYSTEM).

Another week of incredible incidents within this retarded country of ours. Basil has had his snout well and truly boxed following his brush with the law. I hope that I'm not the only one who needs to know whether or not the complainant is a fully paid up council tax subscriber. Hopefully it was the Northants Police's first question. (SERIOUS CRIME IN NORTHANTS LAST YEAR ROSE BY 13%: HOME OFFICE FIGURES)

Sitting Bull may be right that mass immigration is good for him (VOTING FODDER). From what I hear, I have not come across too many folk who agree with him. I suppose it comes from the same mind set as wanting to cover our green and pleasant land with the latest sales gimmick "Eco towns". Each town proposed would have a goodly percentage of what is referred to as affordable homes, these no doubt will be to house single parent families, affordable, because the rest of us will be paying for them. The balance, unaffordable homes, will remain empty in most cases because mortgages are becoming hard to come by, a problem which won't disappear for some considerable time. This will get in the way of what a smart government would do, which should be to grow as much wheat as possible with minimum labour requirements, the farmer, who can carry on living in his current home. (WHEAT ROCKETING IN PRICE). I took this subject up with my MP last year when he mentioned one of the proposals for our borough is a requirement of 20,000 new homes. I put it to him that we need to know what the intentions are for the disposal of rubbish from 60,000 wheelie bins. I was already too aware that a third (recycled) is dispatched on a slow boat to China. In addition, let us consider the ultimate threat of sewage disposal; we can't continue indefinitely separating this from drinking water. We then have the consideration of garden watering during drought. Where are we to site the extra reservoirs? The decimation of more green belt no doubt. (RECOMMENDATION: ALL IMMIGRATION AND NEW TOWNS TO BE DIRECTED NORTH OF THE BORDER).

This week we had the opportunity of seeing Harriet Harperson standing in at PMQ's. It doesn't matter who it is, the same untruths are spouted. Loved the one about a strong economy. The news which followed shortly afterwards went on about the devastated mortgage market. Add to this the collapse of a bank and we get a a better picture of what has happened to our economy under the stewardship of juvenile government. (THE LONGER WE ALLOW THIS TO CONTINUE THE LARGER THE TAB).
