ANOTHER DAY, MORE LEFT WING BILGE.
My home city of Nottingham, Robin Hood country, is still plagued by over-taxing, just as in the 'Big Bad Sheriff' days of old. Yesterday saw the deputy council leader, Labour naturally, complaining that central government needs to supply more cash for them to spend on care for the elderly. When begging, always pick an emotive subject. What was not mentioned, was the outstanding council tax and council house rentals. This is before we get around to the disgraceful waste of money on the loss-making tram extension.
Meanwhile, the Labour Party's broadcasting arm i.e the local East Midlands BBC news, with an item on the condition of the roads, finished with a plug on behalf of the GMB Union: "The problem was caused by Government cuts"; what they really meant were 'savings', the motorist already 'coughs up' adequate funds for all road work. Obviously, we have to tolerate this kind of behaviour from an organisation which is funded by extortion, with a licence to steal. We should enquire how much the union paid for this piece of advertising; bearing in mind that the GMB doesn't want any such savings, because it means that they collect fewer contributions, a large chunk of which is handed onto the Labour Party. This means the hard working private sector, which pays for the public sector to subscribe to an organisation hell bent on bankrupting the nation.
HOW CAN THAT ADD UP?
