Recently my private pension supplier notified me of a change in my tax rate, which I'm pleased to say was good news. Today this was confirmed by my tax office, twice. Two identical envelopes arrived in the same post with the same message in each; I wonder how often this occurs?

Could one be right in assuming that this kind of waste is going on repeatedly, which will be costing taxpayer GB a fortune.
