MRS. DALE'S FARM DIARY.

"I'm so worried about the welfare of the law-breaking Irish Travellers", said the judge.

Only in England could the establishment turn a simple straight forward situation of law breaking, into a 'soap opera'. We have mentioned previously, the expensive effort to remove the burdensome stationary Irish Travellers from their illegal site in Essex. The High Court loves to pontificate against the law abiding, tax contributing section of the electorate. From day one, some ten years ago, the cost imposed on taxpayer GB started to grow; the sum now is probably close to £20 million. It is so easy to make these rulings when you are a Law Lord, away from the madding crowd; as are the human rights lawyers also.

The author can only imagine, that very soon there will be a reaction from the populous who have to stump up this money, within an economy that is 'bust'. It is high time that at every hearing, in such a case where taxpayer GB shows a close interest, the Judge is required to announce the running costs, including the leeching lawyers' share of the action. In addition, we need to be informed of the tax contributions, to the nearest pound, made by these law breakers.

ESSENTIALS OF A TRUE DEMOCRACY.
